The following versions of Alpha7 PC Loader, a servo drive system, are affected:

3.2.1    STACK-BASED BUFFER OVERFLOW CWE-121

The affected product is vulnerable to a stack-based buffer overflow while processing a specifically crafted project file, which may allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code.

CVE-2022-1888 has been assigned to this vulnerability. A CVSS v3 base score of 7.8 has been calculated; the CVSS vector string is (AV:L/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H).

4. MITIGATIONS

Fuji Electric is working on a mitigation for this vulnerability and expects a solution in the coming months. CISA will update this advisory product upon the update’s release.
